When Do the Tulips Bloom?
The season opens with daffodils and hyacinths in late March, followed by the tulips from mid-April. Every year is slightly different depending on the weather the fields can peak anywhere between mid-April and early May. Check the live bloom forecast on bollenstreek.nl before you go.
Flower Parade – 18 April 2026
The annual Bloemencorso flower parade rolls through the Bollenstreek on 18–19 April 2026. It is the single busiest day of the season Keukenhof tickets for this Saturday sold out before the season even opened. If you’re visiting around this date, book well in advance.

Other Stops Worth Your Time
Tulip Experience Amsterdam (Delfweg 37, Noordwijkerhout) Open 19 March–10 May, daily 09:00–18:00. A show garden with over 4 million tulips, a tulip museum, and an indoor picking station. It sits right along the Green cycling route about 10 minutes from Keukenhof by bike. Great for families.
Museum De Zwarte Tulp The Black Tulip museum in the centre of Lisse tells the fascinating story of the Dutch bulb industry, tulip mania in 1637, and the science of the bulb. Easy to visit on foot from the cycling route.
The beach at Noordwijk If you take the Red cycling route, you’ll reach the North Sea coast. Wide sandy beaches and seafood restaurants make for a perfect lunch stop after a morning in the fields.
