Meet Our New Cluster General Manager: Sebastien Wilson

Our new Cluster General Manager, Sebastien Wilson, brings nearly two decades of global IHG Hotels & Resorts experience to his new role at voco The Hague having led hotels across Australia, Fiji, Bali, and Thailand before deciding to make the move to the Netherlands during COVID. Not the most glamorous introduction to a new country, we’ll admit. But somewhere between the grey skies and the quiet streets of The Hague, something clicked. “The Dutch approach to family, community, and raising independent and free-thinking children, combined with the culture and the outdoors,” he says, “it just feels like home.”

We are thrilled to introduce Sebastien as the new Cluster General Manager of voco The Hague and Crowne Plaza Amsterdam-South. He has been part of our IHG family at Crowne Plaza Amsterdam-South since 2021, and before that spent nearly two decades leading IHG hotels across four continents. With both properties now working closely together, bringing them under one leader just made sense and he didn’t need much convincing either. “The opportunity to learn a new brand, a new city, and work with a new team was something I couldn’t pass up.”

This year feels like a big one for both voco The Hague and Crowne Plaza Amsterdam-South. We have just celebrated our fifth anniversary here in The Hague, five years of welcoming guests to the heart of the Royal Quarter, five years of cocktails at Ultramarijn, seasonal menus at Botanica, and unforgettable evenings with Le Petit Chef. Our colleagues at Crowne Plaza Amsterdam-South are marking fifteen years as one of Amsterdam’s most established business hotels. And before the end of 2026, we will be opening De Grutto, our brand new meeting and events space that adds an exciting new dimension to what voco The Hague can offer the city. Having Sebastien leading all of that feels exactly right.
